Learn to work safely with a forklift operator’s certificate and complete the basic training or the re-certification courses.

• U16-2 Forklift safety certification

This basic training lasts for four sessions and is necessary for obtaining your forklift safety certification with an exam pass guarantee. This training includes a theory and a practical part with an exam for each part.

• U16-2 Forklift safety re-certification

The re-certification training takes one day divided into two sessions. This training consists of a theory and a practical part with a practical exam.

• U16-E E-learning re-certification

The re-certification training takes one day, and lasts for seven hours. The training includes a compulsory four-hour e-learning module that you will receive ten days before the in-person training. This is followed by a three-hour in-person training which may be attended after successfully completing the theory exam. The training ends with a practical exam.

Step-by-step

1. Two-day basic training

   Select the two-day basic training for your forklift operator safety certificate. If you already have experience with lift trucks, select the two-day re-certification course, also available in an e-learning version.

2. Theory exam

   During the two-day basic training, you will be tested on theoretical concepts such as working conditions, safety, load handling and legal requirements. This is not required for re-certification.

3. Practical exam
   

   All our forklift operator training courses end with a practical exam for obtaining the certificate.

Forklift theory and practical exam

The basic forklift training consists of a theory exam and a practical exam. The re-certification only includes a practical exam. The theoretical part of the basic training teaches you the theory behind topics such as legal requirements, load handling, and materials. During the basic training practical exam and re-certification exam, you will be tested on control, steering, loading and offloading techniques and slalom techniques. The certificate that you will receive upon passing the exam is valid for five years. The minimum age for participation in the training and exam is 16 years.
