Am I allowed to start with my lessons whilst I am 16 years old?

From the age of 16, it is possible to take your theory exam at the CBR. At 16.5 years old, you may start your driving lessons and our training program. After passing your theory exam and completing the necessary lessons, you can take your practical exam.

How many lessons could I take per week?

This can range from 1 to 40 hours per week, depending on how many driving lessons you need, when your driving test is scheduled, and your budget. Thanks to the number of instructors available, we can easily schedule this for you.

We recommend that you always start with a trial lesson of 90 minutes to get to know the instructor and to assess your talent and skills. After the trial lesson, you will receive a detailed evaluation, and all options will be discussed, including packages and costs for your training. What cars does Osseforth use for the driving lessons?

For the manual license we have Volkswagen Polo's and Volkswagen Golf. Our automatic cars are 100% electrical Volkswagen ID.3's

Wii I have a fixed instructor and/or car for my lessons?

Yes, that is very important. A fixed instructor and a fixed car provide a structured learning experience. (Only during illness or vacation can you freely choose whether you want a different instructor or if you want to pause lessons for a while.)

Will I be picked up at home for my lessons?

Yes, your driving instructor will pick you up at home or any other place you may reside.

Do I have to complete a theory exam?

Yes, everyone must take a theory exam for the motorcycle, even if you already have a driver's license! This theory certificate is valid for 1.5 years.

Do I need to bring my own helmet and clothing?

Of course it is always nicer to wear your own gear for your lessons on a motorcycle. However, should you not have them yet, we offer various helmets, jackets and overpants to wear during your lessons. Keep in mind that since may 2024 it is mandatory to wear a full gear outfit, including a certified helmet, motorcycle jacket and pants, gloves and motorcycle shoes/boots for both of the exams (AVB and AVD). To make sure you are wearing the right outfit we recommend you to purchase the gear before the exams!

I am 23 years old or younger, can I apply for my motor license?

Motorcycle License A1If you are under 24 years old, you start with the A1 license. You will successively take the theory exam A, the AVB exam, and the AVD exam.A1 candidates may begin practical lessons at 17 years old, provided they have a valid driving license B or a theory certificate A.

I do not have a drivers license B, can I still apply for a motorcycle license?

Yes, that is allowed. However, you must first obtain the theory certificate for motorcycles. You cannot take the special maneuvers exam without a valid motorcycle theory certificate.

The motorcycle lessons start from the practice area in Elsloo at Businesspark Stein 165.Do you live in the Parkstad area? We have our own practice area in Heerlen: the address is Beitel 94, former Peppermill building in Heerlen.Lessons on public roads can start from Elsloo, Heerlen.

Why is it better to take AVB lessons in an enclosed area?

All driving lessons start at this location, so you don&rsquo;t need to drive to a parking lot during your lesson and then back to the driving school. You also won&rsquo;t have to deal with other traffic.The CBR exam also takes place here. This is unique in Limburg and ensures that you take your exam in a familiar environment.It&rsquo;s much safer not to go on public roads with so little driving experience. After all, an instructor cannot intervene.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE LESSON AGREEMENT OF OSSEFORTH DRIVING SCHOOLArticle 1 Scope A. These general terms and conditions apply to the conclusion and execution of an agreement between the student and Osseforth Opleidingen for the provision of services, unless explicitly agreed otherwise. Enrolling in driving lessons or other services automatically means that the student accepts these general terms and conditions.B. If there is any ambiguity regarding the interpretation of one or more provisions of these general terms and conditions, the interpretation must be made 'in the spirit' of these provisions.C. If a situation arises between the parties that is not regulated by these general terms and conditions, this situation should be assessed in line with the spirit of these general terms and conditions.D. An agreement is established through the student&rsquo;s signature or, if the student is a minor, through the signature of his/her legal representatives, or by purchasing a product.Article 2 DefinitionsStudent: The person who commissions Osseforth Opleidingen to follow driving lessons and receives driving instruction from the instructor in order to obtain proof of driving competence.Instructor: The person who provides driving instruction to the student in order for the student to obtain proof of driving competence.Driving Instruction: Driving instruction refers to receiving car driving lessons and instructions from the instructor, which the student must follow, and are necessary to responsibly participate in the CBR practical exam to obtain proof of driving competence.Osseforth Opleidingen is also referred to as the driving school or driving school holder: the party commissioned by the student to provide driving instruction and ensure that the instructor can help the student obtain proof of driving competence.Article 3 General During a driving lesson, the student is not the legal driver of the vehicle but only the actual driver. This means that as long as a driving lesson is taking place, the instructor, or in the case of a driving test to obtain proof of driving competence, the examiner, is legally liable. Traffic violations according to road traffic regulations are, therefore, the responsibility of the instructor or examiner. This also applies to the consequences of an accident. A driving lesson also includes taking a test for obtaining proof of driving fitness and competence (driving test).Article 4 Obligations of the Driving School The driving school ensures that: A. Driving instruction is provided by instructors who meet the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Driving Instruction Act (WRM). B. A driving education program is provided that aims to prepare the student to responsibly participate in the CBR practical exam. C. After the student has paid the driving school for the costs of the driving test, the driving school will submit the application for the driving competence test to the Central Bureau of Driving Skills Certificates (CBR), following the applicable fees and submission of the required documents, provided the student has authorized the driving school to do so with the CBR. This must be done no later than two weeks after the date on which it was agreed, in consultation with the student, that the application for the driving competence test can be submitted. D. The student, who has applied for the test through the driving school, has access to the same training (motor) vehicle on the date and time assigned by the CBR for the driving competence test as the one used during the driving lessons, or a comparable training (motor) vehicle. In the event that a substantially different type of vehicle is used, the student must have received at least one hour of driving instruction in that vehicle. E. The duration of the driving lesson, as agreed in the lesson agreement, is fully utilized for the provision of driving instruction. F. Insurance policies have been taken out that provide appropriate coverage against liability of the driving school towards the student for damages caused during driving instruction or during a driving competence test. These insurances are in line with what is customary in the driving education sector.

What do I need to bring to my exam?

Always bring an identification document. If you have obtained a theory certificate, bring that as well. If you already have a driver's license, bring it with you.Without valid identification and the necessary documents, the exam will not take place. The fees paid will not be refunded by the CBR.
