Get your driving licence

Taking driving lessons at ANWB Rijopleiding Osseforth means driving with personal, professional guidance. We always recommend you begin with a 90-minute trial lesson so that you can get to know your instructor and discover your skills and talents. After the trial lesson, we will provide a comprehensive evaluation and discuss the available training packages and associated costs. You schedule your driving lessons together with your instructor.

• Quick learner – 25 to 35 lessons
• Average learner – 35 to 45 lessons
• Inexperienced learner – 45 to 55 lessons

Conditions

You can take the driving theory test at the CBR (Central Office for Motor Vehicle Driver Testing) if you’re at least 16 years of age. As soon as you reach 16 years and 6 months of age, you can start your driving lessons and our training plan. After you have passed the driving theory test and taken the required number of lessons, you can apply to take your practical driving exam.

Waiting times

In each location (Heerlen, Sittard-Geleen, Maastricht, Venlo, Roermond, Weert), we have several driving instructors, each with their own lesson schedule. Depending on your availability, the instructor's availability, and whether the scheduled exams are successful, there may or may not be a wait time. In most locations, you can start right away! Step by step

1. Trial lesson

   Get to know your instructor, the driving school, and your driving talents.

2. Driving theory test

   Learn the traffic rules and road theory and pass your CBR theory test.

3. Interim test

   A trial test at CBR will be conducted to test your driving skills and get you used to exam conditions.

4. Practical driving test

   The CBR driving test is the final test you need to pass to get your driving licence.

Driving theory

Your training at ANWB Rijopleiding Osseforth consists of both a theory and a practical section. You may only take the practical driving test once you have passed the driving theory test. That is why we want to make passing the theory test as easy as possible for you.

Speed theory course for driving licences

During our speed theory course, you will review the course material independently and in a group setting. You will receive course material from us three weeks before the in-person course date. You will go through this material yourself before attending the quick theory course. The coach can monitor your progress through the online portal and see what you have mastered and what you are struggling with. On the course day, you will go through the course material together and have time for extra explanations and questions. We then schedule the driving theory test with you on a date after you’ve completed your quick theory course.

Other speed theory course features:

• Optimal learning efficiency: Learn the driving theory material at your own pace and then take the course.
• Note: the theory certificate is valid for 18 months;

The speed theory course costs €99,- if you take driving lessons at ANWB Rijopleding Osseforth. If you take driving lessons elsewhere, an additional fee of €26,- will apply.

Practical driving test 

Your driver’s training includes two compulsory tests, your driving theory test and your practical driving test. We recommend you pass your theory test as quickly as possible so you can fully focus on your practical driving skills during your lessons. You can take the theory test at the CBR (Central Office for Motor Vehicle Driver Testing) if you are at least 16 years of age.

The practical driving test is the final test for your driver’s training. This is where you combine your theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the ultimate test, your driving exam! Together, we will ensure you’re fully prepared for this moment!

Driving lessons are available in modern training vehicles; you can choose from cars with either a manual or an automatic transmission. Our manual driving lessons take place in the new Volkswagen Polo cars, and the automatic driving lessons in our ultramodern Volkswagen ID3 electric cars. Get your driver’s licence using the latest vehicle technologies.

Electric driving at Osseforth

With these cars, you can get your driving licence quicker with fewer lessons because you don’t need to learn how to use a manual transmission.
